Top 5 Motorbike Safety Tips

Philip Bachler - Thursday, February 25, 2010

Being a motorbike rider makes you one of the most vulnerable people on the road. Car and truck drivers have (relatively) enormous metal cages surrounding them, so it takes a lot more force to injure them. Even pushbike riders are less vulnerable - they may have just as little bodily protection as bikers, but they don’t have the added problems that power and speed create for handling. All this adds up to the fact that safety has to be at the absolute forefront of a rider's mind, every time you kick that starter. Today we look at the five most important tips for motorbike riders to stay safe on the road, from using motorbike glasses to vital, lifelong training.  Read More

Philip Bachler - Sunday, February 21, 2010

Every time you kick that starter, and squeeze that throttle, the most important item of clothing to have on are your sunglasses. Trying to ride a motorbike without glasses is almost impossible ... not to mention dangerous if you get dust, debris or bugs in your eyes. Ordinary sunglasses just don't provide the wind protection that purpose-built motorcycle sunglasses do. Today we are looking at some of the upcoming styles, features and technical specs from the new season range of motorbike goggles.  Read More

Philip Bachler - Saturday, February 13, 2010

Many people tend to think that because sunglasses are a relatively recent invention (they have really only been commonplace since plastics were invented), they are not a necessary part of life. In reality, sunglasses help maintain people's visual acuity for much longer than was possible sixty years or more ago. If you want to avoid blindness, cancer, and cosmetic issues like fine lines and wrinkles, sunglasses are necessity. 5 Easy Tips To Prevent Early Presbyopia

Philip Bachler - Tuesday, February 09, 2010

Just like getting a little wrinklier, feeling the after-effects of a night at the pub more keenly, and finding it more difficult to remember phone numbers, presbyopia is a natural part of the aging process. Of course, just like the abovementioned aspects, being natural doesn’t mean that presbyopia is welcomed! Presbyopia is a loss of ability to focus easily on near objects, due to increasing rigidity of the lens in your eye. It is not completely preventable - your genes are the main determinant of the extent to which you'll develop presbyopia. However, you can protect your eyes and prevent the use of reading glasses for as long as possible, by following these common-sense guidelines.  Read More

What Are The First Signs that You Are Developing Presbyopia?

Philip Bachler - Friday, February 05, 2010

Everything in your body changes as you get older ... as you well know, if you are over the age of 14! Some of the changes are purely aesthetic - your wrinkles and grey hair may or may not bother you. The natural contraction of the lens in our eye, and resulting difficulty in focusing on close items, is called presbyopia, and is a normal part of aging. Today we run through the signs and symptoms of presbyopia, and how you can correct it with reading glasses.  Read More

Nannini Relocates Corporate Headquarters

Philip Bachler - Sunday, January 10, 2010

Nannini is proud to announce the opening of a new corporate headquarters building.

The company is relocating from the historical headquarters building in Modena where they have been located since 1954, to a larger, more modern and innovative structure, which is better suited to the leading role that Nannini is intending to play within the international eyewear market.

After the big brand restyling made in March 2009 and the launch of the new website in November 2009, the change of the headquarters building is yet another step on the road to reinvigorating and reinventing this cult "Made in Italy" brand. In order to stay close to their lineage and so not to forget the values that have made the brand famous worldwide, the new offices are located just a few kilometres from Modena, the city where Nannini was founded.
